day1 of soup Kitchein

The first Saturay we started working at the Soup Kitchein it was very fun. We had to go around and asked people wat their age was for a survey. This was a very easy way to get to know the people that comes regularly. They were all so nice, and we all talked for a  long time about random things. Because I was only one talking to the people, they thought that curly que were scared of them. I told them that they were still sleepy, especially the brunette, they laughed and said that hopefully they will get use to them soon. From that day i found out that they are real fun people to be around. As I look around I saw that everyone was like a little family and i couldn't wait to be apart of it.

Persian Culture

In English we read Rubaiyat and Manners of Kings both written by Persians. From these two stories I learned some things about the culture of Persians. One was that they believe that you are either going to hell or going to place where theres no hardships like heaven. The second one is that they have a god named Allah, who they strongly believe in.

Noah's vs. Gilgamesh floud

In English 12, we read the stories Gilgamesh The Great Floud, and The Noah's Ark from the Bible. They are very similar stories, but also different. They both have animials, a boat in the story. The characters both take birds to find land after the land is flouded. The only thing that I saw that was different was when Enkidu lives forever, but Noah died when he was in his 200s.
